[Day 5] New Events DFOG - Miracle Reinforcement Party

Hi hi!!

[Light] Here~

DFOG has gotten a lot of events yesterday!!

The biggest one everyone is hyped about is the

The Reinforcement Party!!!

This event allows you to reinforce your weapons with a higher chance if you have more people viewing your weapon anvil.

And Personally I think the greatest fun of this event is watching people succeed and fail their weapons!! (Am I right!?)

Some people would even get their weapons to:

Overall I do think this is a good event for DFOG to catch up to other versions of the game. One day we might be able to compete with something like this

Yes, yes... this is 80 epic revolver +19 Modified Barrel Webley Mark. Look at that 6800 piercing physical damage. (Ooooh~ Dear....) And yes...it exists in DNF.

Sadly, I don't think I will be participating in this reinforcement since majority of my weapons are actually amplified. (RIP to people who amplified)

So yeah, I'll be watching a few players upgrade here and there to enjoy their success and FAILURE.

Anyhow~ Thx for reading!!

Happy DFO!!

[Day 4] Damage-Calculations Part 1 - Indepedant damage (Section. 2)

HI!!

[Light] Here for some info~

So let's get this Section. 2

Might be a short-one for today T_T sadly.

New-Event came out and lots of things to do!! While also have to study..(arg!!)

So yesterday, we left off at "The higher the Independent Attack Power the efficiency decreases!!"

=Fixed Damage Limit=

Sources: http://blog.naver.com/ldy431/220173995048
Sources: https://namu.wiki/

From the conclusions we drew from yesterday:
Experiment 1) Every 10 Independent attack power increases 0.62% damage on the basis of 1616 IAP.
Experiment 2) Every 10 Independent attack power increases 0.44% damage on the basis of 2236 IAP.

So from these stats (and source) we can safely assume:

So when is it best to stop maxing out your IAP?

Apparently the highest IAP you can achieve is 3846 and that is about 140% damage increase.

The line I would draw to stop maxing out for IAP would be gold efficiency to other damage that does more.

For example) If you have 1800 IAP and 20 Fire elemental damage. And choose Which would be more beneficial:

Elemental damage is usually 22 element = 10% damage. (We will go into this in detail more later on blog)

But since we have 1800 IAP and to increase 10% damage we need ~180 IAP.

Clearly the Selist's tear would be much more beneficial (assuming you do fire damage) for the current stats you have increasing ~13% fire damage increase compared to ~7.2% increase in fixed damage.

So always check what stats you want to focus then look for the best efficiency that can result to do damage. (We'll go into detail more later)

=Fixed damage total calculation=

We only went through "Raw Fixed damage" calculation but we need to consider all the other factors that actually makes it beneficial to the "Total Fixed damage".

Technically no one would actually consider this much information when they are playing a game. Especially when there are so many different variables that could influence the actual damage-output.

We just have to understand that these variables exists to do the maximum damage-output.

Well I think this is it for today.

Thank you for reading again.

Laterz!! Happy DFO~

[Day 3] Damage-Calculations Part 1 - Indepedant damage (Section. 1)

Hi~

[Light] here for some DPS calculations!!

In my opinion, DFO has one of the most complex damage-calculation in all mmo. The only other game I tried hard-core to calculate damage-output is probably Diablo 3.

DFO has so many different factors to do the right amount of damage. That's why people have been "experimenting" and "theory-crafting" a lot of the damage-output. So, I'm here to translate and give out my thoughts on how damage calculation is done.

First we'll have to go through fixed damage.

Source:  Namu.Wiki
=Fixed damage=
Fixed damage is a skill shown damage in whole-numbers and usually called FD. Such as here:

The fixed damage we know right now is not True damage but rather Fixed. Fixed damage takes a lot of independent damage into consideration and takes no affect from reinforcing. Factors such as refinement, enchants, and dawn of blessing (Crusader's fixed damage buff)etc etc, would change FD damage.

The most generic fixed damage characters would be Witch, Zerker, F.Grappler, Chaos, Creator, Mutalisk-Fspit (gernade-fspit) etc etc.

FD also takes Strength/intelligence into factor. But, unlike '/. damage info., fixed damage does change on the skill info. damage based on stats, such as:

So the raw numbers we see are skill info. damage

(Skill info. damage) = (independent damage) * (Skill coefficient)

and if we try to find raw fixed damage (w/o elemental damage, attack damage, additional damage, critical increase damage, armor, counter, etc etc we'll talk about that later.

=Fixed Damage Experiments=

On average, a DFO player would usually assume to think that 10 independent attack power (base attack, same thing) equals to 1% damage increase in fixed damage. We'll call it IAP for short.

But is that true?

Here's the experiment.

1) Enemy: Armor 90.4732'/., -10 elemental resistance, 33'/. armor pircing penalty.
2) Base attack: 50ish base attack, and 100ish base attack increase (Base attack is experimental group)
3) Skill attack: Spriggan (171% + 979 and only based off of 979 fixed)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Independent attack power of 1616 as basis

1616 Independent attack power - Damage (29492)
1665 Independent attack power - Damage (30386) - 49 Independent attack power increase

1713 Independent attack power - Damage (31262) - 97 Independent attack power increase

Efficiency calculation

49 IAP increase 3.03% => every 10 IAP is 0.62% damage increase
97 IAP increase 6.00% => every 10 IAP is 0.62% damage increase

Conclusion
Every 10 Independent attack power increases 0.62% damage on the basis of 1616 IAP.

2. Independent attack power of 2236 as basis

2236 Independent attack power - Damage (40807)
2289 Independent attack power - Damage (41774) - 53 Independent attack power increase
2332 Independent attack power - Damage (42559) - 96 Independent attack power increase

Efficiency calculation
53 IAP increase 3.03% => every 10 IAP is 0.44% damage increase
96 IAP increase 6.00% => every 10 IAP is 0.45% damage increase

Conclusion
Every 10 Independent attack power increases 0.44% damage on the basis of 2236 IAP.

TL;DR - The higher the Independent Attack Power the efficiency decreases. (Has a diminishing effect overall)

I wrote a good amount of calculations based on my sources. I hope this will help some people who are more interested in calculating damage output and such.

Thank you for reading, I'll be doing Part 2 tomorrow based on IAP.

Happy, DFO!!

[Day 2] More about me!!

Hi Hi!!

[Light] here!!

I'll try to do a Daily Blog even if it is a short one and on busy day.

So what do I play on DFOG?

So I have all my chars out here  ㅆ_ㅆ"

I think I did play a lot during the summer but regardless I did achieve a lot of things that I wanted to. (Still have a lot of goals to go)

1st row is where my main focus was but slowly just died down and went all out on my beauty NEN!!

I rarely play any of the characters on the 2nd row nowadays (Practically dead...RIP).

Why did I give up on the characters!?

Dark Empress - Really should finish up to 85 and get those demon invites. My friend who played with me stopped playing... and Dark Empress gameplay is awfully stale right now. Hopefully they'll get better with more skills.

Astarte - Chaser launcher hurt my fingers T_T. I tried pressing 3 key presses per sec and it was not a pleasant suprise. I really love the gameplay though!! I just love~Combo~System.

MetalHeart - The gameplay is just outstanding. Rotating the G-Series and everything. But when I got to OV it was a pain. I didn't give her a lot of love for gear. I might pick her up after 2nd awakening (?) maybe...Frisbee rotation G-3 plz!!

PeaceMaker - One of the best experience I had with the combo system. And I legitly think is the one of the hardest characters to master mechanically*. But I am running short on time on some days and leveling came too tedious. I'll pick her up winterbreak (?) maybe...

Hm...while I was writing this I realized majority of my characters were female. Maybe a trend(?). Idk I just like "elegance" and "beauty" when I play online games. Just my playstyle. I also prefer to play "combo-system characters" "charge-up-skills" or even "burst" characters.

Well that's what I've been playing~ till now!!

Maybe I'll make some more characters like rogue and Mmech. Maybe Asura(?), m.zerker later?

Well anyhow I think that's it for today.

Just a question for you guys. What subclass are your mains!?

GL in DFOG!!

[Day 1] Hi Hi!! Day 1 of DFO-Blog with [Light]

Hi~

[Light] Here!! From DFOG.

Playing from Central USA on Cain server.

My B~E~A~utiful F.nen right here next to my favorite npc Grandis!!

So, about me, I'm Korean who came to study in the US so I'm very fluent in both Korean and English.

I started playing DFOG after open-beta I think, but I did play some good old Nexon DFO back in the day. (We shall not speak of the "Past")

But anyhow, I wanted to start this blog as to save my progression of my everyday DFO and informational DFO stuffs.(From statistics on dps to "how to make money")

I would translate a lot of the blogs from Korean naver.blogs and namu.wiki (with permission of the writer ofc) or if any of you want some translated material I could do that too. I'll take any requests into consideration.

So...that's my intro for my first day of DFOG Blogger!! (I hope this turns out to be ok)
